Welcome to the 2024 Dionysian Calendar, proudly presented by the Temple of Dionysus and Naós of Dionysus Eleuthereus. This calendar reconstructs the ancient Greek lunar calendar, comprised of months spanning 29 or 30 days. Departing from the conventional January and February structure, each month is represented on a separate page, featuring ancient Athenian names like Poseidon, Gamelion, and more. The corresponding modern Gregorian dates are conveniently listed in the lower right-hand corner of each page. This calendar features community artists and represents hundreds of hours of labor. This edition showcases a vibrant array of festivals spanning the globe, blending ancient traditions with contemporary celebrations. In this darkest time of the year, remember that you are not alone.
